A big thank you to all of those who have contributed so far to The Big Golf Guide website, especially the registered users who have reviewed golf courses they have played.
We have just begun an advertising campaign which will see us featurein The Golf Guide magazine over the next 12 months. The magazine is distributed to over 800 golf locations around the UK, which should continue to improve our exposure amongst the golfing community.
The next scheduled updates for site functionality include an "opt out" feature for some of the review criteria, namely those which relate to non playing aspects (Restaurant, clubhouse quality etc)
We are also looking to create a stats page for each course to display the average score for each review criteria and make this searchable throughout the site. This would enable the registered user to search by courses within a set radius of his location that have a minimum green rating for example.
We have many more ideas that we are going to develop over the coming weeks, but too many to list - and some that we want to keep under wraps until launch!
